PictureNL is the film commission of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
PictureNL supports the provincial film industry’s ability to solicit and attract business by nationally and internationally marketing our industry and the province itself as an on‐site location. Shooting on location requires access to high‐caliber crew and available services. PictureNL markets the province as being able to offer professionalism through individuals who know the community, its people, geography, weather, laws, services and culture. PictureNL is responsible for promoting the province’s ability to provide all of these features and to accommodate large‐scale production.
Budget 2022 announced a new All Spend Film and Video Production Tax Credit. The 30 percent tax credit will apply to total qualified production costs with a maximum tax credit of $10 million annually per project.
