Professional Learning & Sponsorship Program

PictureNL has a full-time Industry Development Officer who works on behalf of crew, producers and filmmakers to organize and support specific workshops, training opportunities, job placements and other projects designed to increase the local industry’s capacity.

The Sponsorship Program provides qualified individuals and organizations with funding assistance, enabling them to promote the products of the local industry. Applicants eligible for funding are Newfoundland and Labrador residents and organizations with screen industries as their principal activities. The program has three application options:

Travel Sponsorships

• NL residents only
• Identify how the opportunity increases the applicants skillset within the screen industries
• 50% reimbursement after submission of eligible receipts, up to a maximum of $2,000
• Fund opens April 1^st with no deadline to apply
• Letter of request, travel budget and CV required for application
• Examples of applicable opportunities: Film Festivals, Markets, workshops, job shadowing
• Limited to one project, per person/company, per year

• If approved, applicant will receive up to $2,000 after submission of an invoice
• Fund opens April 1^st with no deadline to apply

• Example of applicable opportunities: job shadowing, on-set training opportunities, short films
• Limited to one project, per person/company, per year

 

Industry Partner Sponsorships

• Wide range of Industry Partner opportunities.
• Muse identify how the opportunity will benefit the NL Screen Industry
• Limited to one approval per organization, per year
• Examples of applicable opportunities: festivals, workshop offerings, organizations, etc.
• Limited to one partnership per year
