PictureNL will lead a business development mission to Ireland, taking place during the Limerick Film Lab and Galway Film Fleadh from July 5–12, 2026. Up to eight producers from the four Atlantic Provinces, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), Nova Scotia (NS), Prince Edward Island (PEI) and New Brunswick (NB) will be selected to take part in this mission, which is designed to promote coproduction, joint-financing, distribution, and development opportunities between the screen industry producers in the Atlantic provinces and those internationally. The mission will support producers in enhancing their knowledge of working in international markets. The following document outlines important dates and booking instructions for the Newfoundland & Labrador participants in this initiative.

Mission Itinerary and Objectives
To ensure producers are prepared for the trip, all participants will take part, first in the Limerick Film Lab from July 5-8, 2026. Limerick Film Lab is an international co-production lab brings together producers from Ireland, Canada, and Scotland to build partnerships, structure co-productions, and foster creative collaboration across borders.

Participants will then attend the Galway Film Fleadh Industry Fair from July 9-12, 2026, where one-on-one and group meetings will be arranged based on your slate and company profile. The Galway Film Fair is a key industry event that facilitates networking and collaboration within the film industry and the wider audiovisual landscape. It provides a platform for filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals to connect, discuss projects, and explore potential collaborations.

Department of Jobs, Growth & Rural Development (JGRD) Travel Assistance
To assist companies with the costs associated with this trip, participants are eligible for a travel stipend through the JGRD Business Investment Fund. Accepted candidates will receive more information on this process once selected.

Travel and Accommodations
Companies will be responsible for booking their own travel and accommodations for this trip. The delegation must be on the ground to start the Limerick Film Lab, beginning the morning of July 5, 2026 (subject to change).

Targeted Meetings and Marketplace Opportunities
Following the Limerick Film Lab, targeted meetings will be arranged at the Galway Film Fair for each participant based on their individual project needs.
